Wacker Road Construction Project

The City of Savanna Wacker Road Project began last week on June 17, 2019. A few updates for our Carroll County Housing Authority (CCHA) tenants residing in our Carroll Apartments, and Maple Lane units are as follows (as well as, see attachment):

DRIVEWAY ACCESS: Tenants will be able to access the CCHA parking lots during most of the construction. In the event that the parking lots are not accessible for an extended period of time, the CCHA will notify tenants in advance.
MAIL SERVICE: Mail will be delivered as usual. However, for our Carroll Apartments tenants, the mailboxes will be moved sometime during the construction. This move will be permanent. Tenants will be notified with an exact date in the near future.                                        EMERGENCY SERVICES: Emergency Services will be accommodated at all times.
TRAFFIC CONTROL: Be courteous, obey all traffic control and work zone speed limits.

Retirement Recognition

The Carroll County Housing Authority staff would like to extend our sincere congratulations to Bonnie Norman on her recent retirement from Tri-County Opportunities Council. As our local Carroll County Community Outreach Specialist, Bonnie has been instrumental in assisting our Carroll County Housing Authority residents over the past 13 years with Emergency Utility Payment Assistance, LIHEAP Applications, and numerous other programs offered by TCOC. Her dedication to our residents was first-rate, and much appreciated. Bonnie’s last day of work was Wednesday, June 19, 2019. It was a pleasure working with Bonnie, and we will certainly miss her.

As this chapter in Bonnie’s life closes, and a new one starts, we wish her every happiness, and a wonderful life full of relaxation in her retirement!

At this time, Bonnie’s replacement has not been named. Meanwhile, if you are in need of TCOC assistance, please contact the Rock Falls TCOC main office at 815-625-7830.
